Sockeye season is winding down, there was a Commercial Seine net opening at the south arm, which had a huge impact on removing the stock pile of Sockeye. Some schools are still milling about but have proven to be finicky at best and hardly worth the run to fish for them. It has been a fantastic run of great fishing. I hope we did not all get spoiled forever. It may be four years before we see action like that again. Sockeye pound for pound have proven to be amongst the sportiest Salmon. Probably the most difficult to get into the boat. I know many that will agree with that.
