Who We Are... Dr. Richarda Russ, founder and President of the Polish Orphans Charity. The Polish Orphans Charity (POC) was founded in the year 2000 by Dr. Richarda Russ, a prominent Toronto dental surgeon, along with Bart Pasowski, P.Eng. and Dr. Ted Kralka, to help improve the facilities and care for children living in Polish orphanages. While our fund-raising activities originally focused on the Polish Canadian community, we have since sought to extend it to all Canadians, from all diverse ethic backgrounds, for the benefit of orphans worldwide. NEWS BRIEF... The Polish Orphans Charity held its 14th Annual Ball Pologne , to benefit underprivileged Children in Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Ukraine, at Toronto's Omni King Edward Hotel, at 37 King Street East, Toronto, Ontario on April 26th 2014. Our Polish Orphans Charity - website in Poland: polishorphans.pl Since expanding the mandate of POC to include helping orphaned children throughout the world, we aimed to build bridges between Canadians and the concerned citizens of other backgrounds and countries.
