One could say that we stumbled upon owning and operating this bakery cafe quite by accident or by fate.Regardless of one's take, it is a journey we embarked because of our love for good food.We actually spend many days trying out the various food items at Le Bread Pan Bakery Cafe before plunging forward with the business.My wife Sherrie and I both came from a background of the corporate world.In 2010, Sherrie was offered and accepted a compensation package from Telus after 20 years of employment.Two years later with no immediate plans on the horizon, I too decided to leave the world of accounting and project management.With much time on my hands, it allowed me the opportunity to finally writeand eventually obtained a self published book with Friesen Press.The essence of the book has been brewing in my head for the past decade.It is available in most on-line bookstores titled A Chosen Destiny.Our daughter Raechel also decided to work at the bakery.Unsure of her career path, she temporarily took a break from post secondary educationand hopefully this will give her time to contemplate her true calling in life.Prior to becoming owners of the Bakery Cafe, we went through several different business venturesthat could have gone our away after 15 months of searching.But nothing came to fruition.In fact, we came so close in two separate occasions of an already accepted offer,but fell apart in the very end
