Sukyo Mahikari was established with the goal of enabling people to experience the existence of a higher dimension through experiencing the Art of True Light. The True Light of God is a spiritual energy containing God's love, wisdom and will which dissolves spiritual impurities and allows a person to realize their full inner potential. Furthermore, people are encouraged to change their way of life to a more spiritual and God-centered one by following universal principles the Creator established for the prosperity and happiness of humankind, and to use material resources with a spiritual way of thinking. The fundamental teaching of Sukyo Mahikari is: "The origin of the world is one, the origin of humankind is one, and the origin of all religions is one."
