Partners, John Venetis and Peter Notopolous started this restaurant with the aim of providing great food at reasonable prices with customer service that was second to none. Established in 1982, this Langley Landmark has been serving great food excellently prepared for over 26 years. In 2008 it was voted as one of the top five retro-steakhouses in the Lower Mainland. Venetis is located at 20511 Douglas Crescent just across the street from Douglas Park's Spirit Square. Venetis been a fixture here and has seen numerous restaurants in the neighbourhood come and go. Incredibly Venetis has served 3 million people in the years it has been in operation. It would be an understatement to say that the people who run this restaurant know what they're doing. Even before eating healthy was in vogue, Venetis strived to ensure that the food on your plate was healthy. Everything thing on the menu is prepared onsite without using Trans fats and MSG. The sauces are home made with no additives or preservatives. The menu is vast with numerous food choices. The restaurant has a full bar and wine list to compliment any meal you choose. You will find something on the menu for everyone in your party. There are items to please the vegetarian as well as the meat lover. But make no mistake, this is a steakhouse in the retro tradition. Venetis was one of the first steakhouses in Langley and it is the only true steakhouse left in downtown Langley. There is a large selection of appetizers and quite a few pasta dishes as well. The butcher's block features Filet Mignon, Prime Rib, and top Sirloin and New York cuts. There are popular house specialties and every day features a lunch or dinner special. If seafood is what you are crave, this restaurant can that too. Venetis serves the best of seafood dishes. The menu features Alaska King Crab Legs, Tiger Prawns and Fillet of Sole Madagascar. Located on Douglas Crescent, east of McBurney Lane, the restaurant is easy to find and there is lots of parking. There is room on the street or in the spacious parking lot at the front of the restaurant. Easy to find, look for the wall panels that spell out Venetis or follow your nose to the mouth watering smells of steak being grilled. The restaurant is large and can seat up to 140 people. There is a banquet room on an upper floor that seats 100. If your group is 50 or more the room can be partitioned off to accommodate you.
